I had to laugh when I came to the list of things you wanted to change about this room, since I'd just made a mental note of my very favorite things about the room––the paint color, the curtains, and those wonderful red chairs! I wouldn't change a thing! It's very beautiful. I think the one downfall of so many blogs is we change our minds constantly of what we want because we so many different beautiful styles and then we lose site of our own style. That's why I have finally chosen to embrace what is "me" and decorate for "me" and no one else. Follow your gut, your instincts, what makes your heart go pitter patter and you will find true "Carrie" style.

xo
LeAnnAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1995470535422842454.post-49101360032269081592010-04-24T08:58:54.501-04:002010-04-24T08:58:54.501-04:00I love your room... so inviting, comfortable....pe...I love your room... so inviting, comfortable....perfect place to curl up with my coffee and a long chat,
xo,
LuLuLuLuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10649086729644979781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1995470535422842454.post-64674684103820738212010-04-24T07:58:45.147-04:002010-04-24T07:58:45.147-04:00You have done a great job in the arrangement of th...You have done a great job in the arrangement of the room. I would have done the exact same thing. The chairs are where they should be, and so is the rest of the furniture. You have defined the room--it is not closed off. It is very inviting. I too want to recover all my furniture. But, I try not to look at too many different styles and get confused. I like your style!vignette designhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07377076950787846035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1995470535422842454.post-42489498292527103532010-04-23T09:44:09.695-04:002010-04-23T09:44:09.695-04:00Hi Carrie, I like the chairs in front of the wind...Hi Carrie, I like the chairs in front of the window, and also the sofa defining the traffic path. If you are now using the room that means it is successful!. You sound calm about moving to NC.! I buy what I love (minus my fuggly living room sofa that came with the husband) and live with it. A move is always an excellent time to change things up a bit. Good luck! The Shiny Pebblehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12517491723434964702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1995470535422842454.post-50973136122678270712010-04-23T09:19:03.755-04:002010-04-23T09:19:03.755-04:00Carrie, I really love the room. You did a great job giving it a look of a place where you want to sink down and enjoy!

I'm up to my eyeballs in workmen, and I haven't been blogging as a consequence. Plus, we don't have computer access in St. Augustine where we're working. I hope to be back to this soon.

It sounds exciting about your move. I think it could be a super time for you, and I love old houses, too. They are always a challenge. I've had several. Go brick if you can. Frame buildings need to be painted which I'm having done right now.

Hope you're having a good spring. See you when I can crawl out from under the workers! ;-)

XO,

Sheila :-)The Quintessential Magpiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04010105595059019883noreply@blogger.com
