Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. Karen Carpenter couldn't have come up with more true lyrics. Ugggh. Monday, and raining. What happened to our beautiful sunshine and sixty degree weather. I have to admit, yesterday had me quite excited about spring. It was so nice to be able to get outside and get things done in the yard, which at this point is a complete disaster....oh so ugly.
I am so ready to get my hands in the dirt and plant some lovely bursts of color, but alas, this won't be happening any time soon. I even hear we may have more snow coming at the end of the week. AAAgh. I know, I know, it's still February and I won't be able to start planting until at least the end of April, but a girl can dream can't she.
So, the picture above was chosen to infuse this post with at least a little bit of sunny optimism for the spring that will come...eventually. This photo's main subject is the little orange teapot, which was purchased for my shop, which my family will not let me sell. They all love it so, I guess it brings a much needed touch of bright cheery color into our winter home. So today, I will share it with you, whether you are somewhere where it sunshines all the time {we envy you }, or if you are up to your eyeballs in snow right now {i'm sorry, and I feel your pain}.
Sunshiney thoughts to everyone on my rainy Monday.
*peace & love*
Carrie
Its sunny here today but I'm at work. Yesterday when I was at home it was gloomy. I'm anxious to get home and finish my projects of painting and rearranging.
ReplyDeleteIf I could package some sunshine up I would...and send right to your door...alas we had rain this weekend, but it was a welcome surprise to me!! Hang in there sweetie!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that teapot.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pic, has really brightened my morning Carrie! Yes, it is sunny here (sorry), but our littlest one has started daycare for 2 mornings a week and today's her first day~ so whilst it is sunny outside, it is snowing in my heart! Your pic has certainly put a smile on my face, thank you!! Hope you have a wonderful day ~ Tina x
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish spring was here too...I am so anxious to plant some flowers...just like you...it was a bit warmer here over the weekend and then Monday came:)
