{ saturday }

Saturday my sweet friend & neighbor invited me out for a trip to my local farmers market.
I couldn't resist the chance to go to one of my favorite places and get out of doing housework { *wink }.
Of course I grabbed up my favorite thrift store market bag, and my as of yet un-named baby.
{ can't wait to have a fun name to refer to my camera by, I'm so looking forward to the end of the month . }

I just wanted to share some of the photos I snapped while I was there.
I'm sure everyone walking around thought I was a little nutty taking pictures of the veggies.

I feel like I'm back in college again taking my photography courses. It's really exciting to break out my camera and challenge myself to get some good shots. I'm so happy I started this blog, It really has made me think more creatively, which is exactly what I was hoping for.

Saturday's Shot of the Day

This photograph really speaks to me, I'm trying to think of why, but it's really just a feeling I get inside when I look at it. I just really love it. Maybe it's the contrast, or the way the onions colors fade from green to white. Does it do anything for you? Or is it just me because it's my image, and my experience....just wondering.

Hope you are having a wonderful Monday. The sun is shining here, and I couldn't be happier.

Please help me name my baby.

Leave your name suggestion here.....{ name my baby giveaway }
get the details, and you can also see what goodies you could win.

Thanks again for playing along.

*peace & love*

Carrie

p.s. Please go over to my sweet friend Tara's blog Blondie•n•sc, she has been so kind and asked me to do a guest post on her blog. If you don't already know her, I'm sure you will love her and her wonderful blog as much as I do.

  14. I love this blog and pics. Not because I was there or anything. =) But because you made me realize just how beauty can be found in everything, even an onion. They look to perfect to be real. I would love to have a print of this for my kitchen. ;)Thanks for being you! You really do help people to be more creative!!

  15. Carrie - your blog is beautiful. I love old farmsteads. Can't you just feel the stories waiting to be told. It's so sad to me when they become neglected and abandoned.

  16. Great shots!

    I think your camera needs to be a boy, and his name is DeSoto. You like to explore, and he can lead you to new worlds. DeSoto discovered the Mississippi River which is in the heartland of the US. That farm reminds me of ones that might be found there.

    DeSoto is also the name of a vintage car (made in America), and we all know that cars like to have adventures, too.

    And if you need an acronym for his name, it can be DS for DeSoto or Dear Snapshooter. Your choice. ;-)

    XO,

    Sheila
