:: coffee bar update

Hello, how are you today?
I thought I would share some updates to my Coffee Bar with you.
I'm so excited about my new Cuisinart coffee maker & hot water dispenser.
Trust me when I say it's Da Bomb.....for reals.

This new addition required me to make a few changes to my setup as you can see.
Our new appliance allows us to make other favorite hot beverages such as tea & hot cocoa,
so I added them to the bar so that everyone in the family can enjoy their cold weather favorites.
Not only that, but it's perfect for instant oatmeal & cup o' soups....it's so awesome.

No more tea kettle on the stove just waiting & taking forever,
now we have instant hot water woo hoo.

Since I've added several new beverage options,
I decided to label each canister to alleviate any confusion.
I made my tags out of Shrinky Dinks and tied them on with my trusty twine.

I love how they turned out...

what do you think?

Well, my nose & toes are a little chilly from sitting in my very cold studio...
I think I'll go warm up with a cup of Russian Tea....mmmmmm.

  1. It is dreamy. I would love to have a coffee/tea bar. My husband got a new coffee maker for FREE from Sur La Table because he is a constractor for them on a reno project right now. Anywho, it is a Breville...very very cool. I have four children (16-21yrs old) who all drink coffee(I'm the only one who doesn't) and they love it! We did get a Cuisinart smoothie maker(for free from them too) I've been making smoothies daily..so easy. I do have a place in our kitchen that I would like to transform into a coffee/tea bar someday and yours is one of my inspirations! Enjoy, it's beautiful!

  10. So cute! I have the exact same ironstone sugar bowl, and it's on proud display in my kitchen, too. Although my coffee station isn't nearly as cute as yours. Now I'm inspired.

  27. I had twenty others things that needed to be done today, but my cabinet is crowded with my collection of Starbucks City mugs and I have the perfect location and never realized it till I saw your coffee bar of where else to put them..... the built in desk in the breakfast nook that is nothing more than a catch all at the moment!! I love how one persons creativity leads to someone else's creativity! I'd better get busy!

  39. LOVE the coffee bar! I went and bought the *last* shelving unit at Hobby Lobby and the cashier actually asked "you saw this on pinterest didn't you??" You're famous! Question: My fiance and I tried to hang the shelving on studs but only 1 side of the shelf lined up to a stud. Did you hang yours on studs or just dry wall? Did you just use regular wood screws or a toggle bolt or anything? I hung the shelf without putting much weight on it *yet* to make sure it holds but wondering what your experience was. Thanks so much for sharing the fantastic idea--I would have never found that shelf otherwise!

    1. Ha Ha, glad to know this is still a popular idea after 6 years :). I'm getting ready to move again & I'm excited about being able to set my coffee bar back up in my new home again. I purchased that cabinet probably in 2003 from a catalog Through the Country Door. I think it still exists, but the piece probably does not. It did not come with the baskets on the bottom, I added them later. I'm sure you could easily find something similar online. Good luck!!
