I don't know about you, but I am sooooo ready for spring.
I need to see some green and soon.
I was looking through my photos of my flowers and gardens,
and it got me really excited to see all of my babies pop up...
now spring just can't come soon enough for me.
We've been thinking of downsizing our home
and making a move, and I have to say when I saw all the pictures
of my gardens and plants and all the hard work I've put in
It really makes me reconsider.
Ideally we would move to a smaller home with
much more land and hopefully some built in landscaping ie: trees.
This is something my children and I long for.
I would love to have some wooded acreage to get out and explore.
I also really want to be able to have some more animals,
chickens and maybe some goats, and in my dreams a horse or two.
I know, I'm probably just dreaming, but I'm praying about it,
and I know that the Lord will put us where he wants us to be
when the time is right.
I've really been having a hard time getting here lately.
Since my spiritual reawakening, blogging just hasn't seemed as important.
Slowly, I think I'll come up with a good balance
that I can feel comfortable with.
So forgive my absence, and for my lack of communication.
I truly appreciate each and every one of you who visits,
and I always look forward to your sweet comments.
Happy Friday!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

I get spring fever that way, too...and it always makes me want to move some place with more outdoor space! Every time I get serious about it, I realize I'd miss this house, these rooms and my garden, too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post!
I hear ya Carrie! I LOVE my garden and the thought of down sizing for us would also mean leaving what my husband and I have loved and labored on for 12 years. But...I also think of the fact that someone else, someone new, would be the care taker and what a wonderful surprise they would have their first spring/summer seeing all the beauty unfolding! If we ever do downsize I'm putting together a little photo album of my gardens for prospective buyers to see and want! You should do the same. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a perfect weekend Carrie!
Go Packers!! (yes, I'm in Wisconsin!).
Warm thoughts- Karen
I live near the sea here is sunny and warm, spring slowly coming.
ReplyDeleteKisses and nice weekend.
Girl, you just keep seeking after Christ and centering your time around Him! I'm so ready for Spring too. Mostly because I'm excited to wear dresses again. :-)
ReplyDeleteCarrie, I just wrote a post to you, hit a button and managed to erase it. I'm thankful you are spending your time with the Lord and that you visit us when you can. Cheering you on in all of life's endeavors.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs sent your way...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Wow Carrie!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm reading about my long lost twin....I feel the exact same way....the exact same longings....the animals, the little extra land for playing & roaming....and I've also been focusing on spirituality. Trying to get in tune with God's will for me. It has made it more difficult to get online...balance.....it's hard to find huh?
If we can just get to that place where we know we are doing His will, everything will fall into place right???
xoxo,
Shellagh
Hi Carrie
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to meet and follow you!
I must say that your wooden knitting hooks and scrabble letters caught my eye instantly...I love how personal your blog banner is...and I did the same thing for my blog. Come on by anytime and have a peek!
Balance is important...as is spiritual awareness...good for you.
Ciao Bella!

Good luck on your journey. I think the best thing we've instilled in our own kids is our love for Jesus, and to see them have it too is really great.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how many times you've moved, but I have 4 times in the 13 years I've been married, and we've finally found the place I want to be forever! It's in the middle of fields and we have chickens, pigs, sheep, and dogs. I love it out here, just for the privacy alone. I hope you find what you're looking for!
I am so ready! Bring it on!

I tell you, I try to really enjoy the season I am in and relish the delicious things that are unique to that season. However, this is our 7th snow day and my summer break is getting shorter and shorter. I'm with you this time, bring on the green.
ReplyDeleteI am in total agreement..SPRING and SOON! At least for me, I work in a greenhouse this time of year so it helps a bit..seeing and planting all the little plants into their pots of soil. :)
ReplyDelete~ Happy Thursday to you friend
~ And you are right..the Lord knows the perfect time for you and the perfect place for you :)
