{ fall is on it's way }

Finally, the temperature has dropped and it's starting to feel like Fall.

I've been gathering up pumpkins at my local farmer's market,

and started my fall decorating.

I wish I could say this lovely display is mine,

and that sweet primitive doorstep is mine as well.

However, it is not.

This was a photo taken last fall at a local Moravian village,

while on a field trip with my sweet son.

This tree was amazing, and I can't wait to see colors like this again.

This little red salt box conjures up images of simpler times,

and makes me think of cool mornings, warm fires, and bread in the oven.

Mmmm, doesn't that raisin bread look divine.

A beautiful old window, rolling pins, and a pile of cookie cutters,

s i m p l y   b e a u t i f u l.

  2. This is my first visit and I'm in love. First it was the music then after I grabbed a coffee and began scrolling I couldn't stop. Your photos are wonderful and I can't wait to come back. Perhaps after baby is down for a nap...

  4. What gorgeous images! You have really gotten me in the mood for fall. I love the way that the pumpkins are so casually, yet perfectly set on the steps of the house. Loved this. Thanks so much for sharing.

    I'm up for air to check in with you after a looooooong hiatus. Mr. Magpie is doing much better, and his nurse is starting to breathe easier. I hope to be blogging again in a week or so. His recuperation took longer than I expected, and I am soooooo behind in a million other things. I still can't believe it's fall. I missed the months of August and September.

    XO,

    Sheila :-)
